**These squads were moved from Inkerman to Roussillon. The Recruiting Office was still sending trainees to Woking who were then transported to Chi.
Note reference 38a & 38b squads. R38b was a consist of 13 out of an original 30 who startede as R38. With the arrival of Junior Leaders was redesignated R38a. The otiginal 13 were redesignated R38b.
***The story of 65 squad was that we had a start out strength of about 70. By week 2 we were down to about 40, and by week 4 we had shrunk to 20. Our training had to cease due to Corps Week, and if memory serves me correctly, the origins of the Chichester marches, all in all we were way behind. 66 Squad were in station and were a squad of ex junior leaders. It was decided that we would not mix and so 65 was put to rest and so 67 was formed. We passed out with a strength of 19 so picked up some pals along the way. The squad senior NCO was the then SSgt Manning. The photo of the squad 67 shows 15 plus the SI Cpl. Friend. Ian Wasson-12.09.2009.
